Can anyone suggest a good GPS app for an android phone. There appears to be hundreds on the market with mixed reviews.

Was going to ask a similar question, I've heard that skydroid is good but is it really going to be great for £1.23?

Freecaddy - simple, but costs nothing. Gives you yardages to front, middle and back on greens. Costs nothing to download courses. There's a paid for upgrade to a Pro version for not much, but haven't tried it yet.

This. Pro version is worth the extra money IMHO, but free one is ok.

Skydroid is ok too but I prefer free caddie and that sees to be updated more too.

When I had a droid I used freecaddy like has been mentioned. Only thing I'll say, it was pretty accurate but it has it's downsides, the battery on your phone will drain stupidly quick, maybe even before your round finishes, difficult to read in the screen in the sun and would you use it in the rain?

My advice, get on eBay and buy a skycaddie as you get a lot of people selling theirs to basically get the latest model when the one they've got does the job!

I'll sit down now and watch the anti skycaddie brigade bash the best golf GPS on the Market... Fact ;)
