Well, I began our club championship off 7.8.

The Saturday was a disaster and I had a nett 78 so up to 7.9.

Then, on the Sunday, I had a nett 75 which included a 7 and an 8. I figured I'd be up to 8.0.

I got to the club this morning and I'm off 7.3 :)

I'm well chuffed and I guess it goes to show that even if you've not played particularly well you can still get cut! :D

Either that or Smiffy's so desperate to win a fiver on Wednesday that he's spoken to our handicap secretary and got me cut! :D

a nett 75 gets .6 off your handicap?

Its been a long time since I was above 5 :p so is it 0.2 off for every stroke below CSS? I assume CSS was 69 that day?

P.S well done

Thanks.

Yeah, 0.2 for every shot under handicap.

CSS must have gone up on the day. None of our Cat 1 players played well - the best was a gross 75.

I'm presuming that my nett 75 was reduced to a nett 72 (the 7 and 8 reduced to 6) and the CSS went up to, say, 75.

I'm going to double check it all with our handicap secretary when I next see him.

But, I'm happy with the cut.

Well played Dave. Cat 1 still a possibility before the year is out :)

It certainly is - I just need to sort my putting/putter out!!! :)
I'm surprised such an experienced forummer throws out such bait on this forum warrior.

Trying to catch an old Scottish Trout? :D

Certainly at our place the wind kept the scores up this week, its a long time since the CSS has been the same as the par on the card, its normally 2 below. kept me in the buffer Zone though.

Nice one, Dave! Congrats.

It might not be your putting... it could be your greens?! ;) ;) ;)
