An hour in and no one has mentioned th T word

one session with a V easy and watch out- tigers back

Personally I watch any tournament he's in, he's great to watch or would you rather have 78 Luke Donalds picking their way round (no offense to Luke)

Watched it last night and if he holed a few of them puts inside 10feet he would be right up there with the leaders. He just needs more competitive games.

Unfortunately Brand Tiger Woods has become bigger than the golfer. He needs to forget all that pish and play tourament golf week in, week out and forget all this bollocks about peaking for majors. Playing once a month wont cut it anymore.

Some say I have always been daft:p

But nope never ever thought he was special, he may have been a good golfer but never the best.

And that's a fact......
Do you mean not the best ever, or not the best golfer at the time at any point in his entire career?

If it's the former, with hindsight, I'd agree entirely. If it's the latter, now you're just being daft. :p

Undeniably the best golfer of his generation. You can argue not the greatest ever (I'd tend to say not) but definitely special. His swing does look strange and a lot of movement in there. As perhaps one with more moving parts than most I have to say simple and smooth if I could achieve it would be golfing eutopia and I think he needs to throttle back and keep stiller

Yes but the point is he never holed the putts did he, I missed a few today but if I had made them then I would have been level par but instead finished 3 over.

I mean he is not the best golfer that has ever been nor will he ever be, Good golfer yes, I will give him that but a long way short of the BEST.

Now he is below good & I don't think he will ever get back into the top 5 in the current world rankings:p

2 under today with 2 to go and just inside the cut line but a lot still to start their rounds - he could do with a birdie or 2 to make himself safe.
Could end up being very close if he drops a shot down the stretch.

Yes but, No but. The point is, Tiger is the greatest putter to have walked the earth, he is missing the puts because he is not tournament competative. How many other pro's do you know that only average one round a month or so.

That has been his choice, oh well he did not make the Fedex mind you, did he????

Not good enough me thinks, had as much chance as the next man.....

I wish I played that often :(

The other problem Tiger has now is the other players dont fear him any more.
Yesterday, he played with a 19 year old amateur and he beat Tiger by 4 shots.

In his prime, all he had to do was turn up and the rest of the field were playing for 2nd place.

I think 2012 will be the deciding year for Tiger.
For someone who has spent his whole life dedicated to being the best golfer in the world, if he doesn't dominate again next year, I fear he will retire.
He only has one goal left in life and thats 19 majors.
If he feels he cant achieve that figure, why would he want to continue?

Fcuk me, there's a lot of shite written about TW.

Purely as a golfer, he is either the best of all time or the second best. To say otherwise is just being deliberately argumentative or deluded. I couldn't give flying tuck what he does off course.

Tigers game has always been erratic. Pointless saying he's dipping his head here, he's doing that there, when his swing has always had faults. His recovery, ball striking, short game and putting saved him, but it's not as good now as it was. Perhaps a full season of competitive golf will bring it back.

Darren's Open victory shows that anyone is in with a great chance of winning majors no matter the current form. That's why TW still has a good chance of reaching 18.
