I have been talking to a few members behind the scenes and after the events of tonights war of words I feel I owe the forum an apology.

Appreciate it doesn't apply to everyone but I'm sure more than I think have been affected by my mood swings and ramblings.

DaveR If you read this I actually have no idea who you are as before tonight think we have spoken once but I never meant to make you want to leave the forum.

Jamesr and pnwok sorry for my attempts to get the last word.

I will try and consider my postings in future

Fragger , apologises for yet more stuff for you to find and clear up

Enjoy your golf and the rest of the euros everyone.

Great post.
Something we can all learn from. (y)

Totally get this. Acceptance of the things that I cannot change is helping me try and be less frustrated about stuff out there, and so less annoying and irritating on here - but work in progress - after all - I have to meet a load of you at H4H in October ?

Work harder ???

I tell you what - having just listened to the first 15mins of a live broadcast from noon today it is very, very difficult to keep a lid on my anger ? and accept that there is nothing that I can do about what I heard - but as I said - I am a work in progress ?

Go onto their Twitter site and give them hell, or email them. But please leave it out of here. As some were saying on here over the weekend, isn’t it so much nicer without ‘us’ ranting on.

There are people all over the media spouting rubbish and the more you look for it the more you'll find.
The simple answer is and always has been, stop looking.
I've never understood why people go looking for stuff they have no control over that will make them angry.
Turn off the news, stop reading the papers and stop listening to the radio.
If something important happens, we'll let you know.
Your blood pressure will thank you for it.

Well said Bob, I have not watched the news or read a paper for years. If its really important, my phone tells me or someone will mention it in general conversation.

100%

People seem to want to consume news that makes them angry. Why would you do that?

Don't watch it, listen to it or read about it. Crack on with your life in blissful ignorance.

England lost in a penalty shootout to Germany in the semi final of Euro ‘96, Gareth Southgate missing the decisive spot kick. Just in case that didn’t crop up.

It was not news that I watched at midday and it is stuff that we need to hear because ignorance is no excuse. But hey. Nothing I can do about it and that I must accept. But I cannot pretend that I did not know. And I am glad that I know.

This is nothing to do with SILH’s post just an example so please do not take it personally but a general comment.

Inevitably every thread goes off track, some much more than others’. In this particular thread somebody made a mistake yesterday and apologised to fellow forum members. Excellent effort well done but now we have something, details unknown relating to a news item. Realise this was a response to earlier posts but shows how easy it is to get off track

Spot on, also feel it’s a bit ironic that the apology related to posters “advising” each other on what and how to post and now silh is getting some similar “advice” but a bit more politely.
