American Hustle

I managed to watch Wolf in Wall Street last nite and thought it a excelant film could not get into American Hustle so turned it off after 25 mins.

got it to watch tonight along with WOWS, watched 12 years a slave 2 nights ago and have to confess to having a few tears in the old northern eyes at the end, a great film

12 Years a Slave was a bit 'tamer' than it was talked to be - though bits of it were brutal. And I agree - it wasn't as fantastic as some might lead you to believe - a series of owners - some nicer than others. Yup. Actually what I really taken by was the cinematography and the score. Landscapes beautifully shot, atmospheric score - very sparse in parts. But these are the main things I came away with.

Thought it was very average.
Saw wolf of wall street and thought that was pretty good, but 3 hours long was a bit of a ball ache to keep concentrating.

Saw it couple of weeks back and I think I nodded off for a moment or two - three hours of pretty much the same things in varying degrees of excess. Ok though.

AH - Mutter mutter mumble mumble. Not worth watching IMO
WOWS - Brilliant . Quickest 3 hours I've ever experienced.

Hunger Games one and two are brilliant if anyone is looking for a film to watch. Three and four being made !!!!! Wooooo !

Percy Jackson - Just Harry Potter with better monsters.

Olympus Has Fallen - Best film made in ages !!!!!

Just thought I'd add....

I am not sure about Dallas Buyers Club either, but we are going to go and see it tomorrow night on Orange Wednesday.

Saw Wolf of Wall Street on Sunday night, thought it was a good film but probably just a little too long (especially with the boss eating popcorn at the rate she does) saying that I can't really think of any parts of it they could afford to cut, but 2 hours 45 minutes without anything to eat is a bit much!
