Just got off the phone to American Golf for the 3rd time in 3 weeks - I needed a new shaft on my 5 iron after it got bent in my car, and was originally told 7 / 10 days. That was 3 weeks ago!! AND they've just told me that it will be NEXT WEEK before it comes back in!

Anyone else had problems with American Golf or Wilson Staff and clubs like this? I'm very frustrated - I miss that club on the course!!

If it's the standard shaft then it looks like the Sl-95 Wide tip Uniflex - not really a bog-standard shaft and, I suspect, not readily available.
Wouldn't be surpeised by a longish wait for a shaft like this.

True Temper Dynamic Gold are "bog standard" shafts...

Direct Golf took 10 weeks to replace my mates Burner 2.0 iron and lied to him throughout the whole process. AG only took a week to sort my Burner 2.0 iron.

I have to say I thought the Wilson Staff Di11 irons were standard, I didn't realise they had a difficult to obtain shaft in them? Surely any club in mass manufacture classes as a 'standard' shaft?

I imagine it would take a brand longer to complete repairs during peak season than the winter months simply due to the increase in returns as I doubt they increase their headcount ( would have to be on a seasonal contract) to complete this additional workload.

It from what has been said has a different tip size, this is something that only Wilson do as far as I know so it may be tricky.

I used to have some Wilson Fat Shaft irons and my wife snapped on of them, I was very lucky in that the local driving range pro had perchased a bunch of them before they stopped making them so it just took a day to turn round.
