I was one of the lucky people to be selected for this at AG Clydebank today, got to say a huge thanks to GM and AG for the chance to be fitted for hybrids. I'll post a review later but felt i had to let you know what a great experience it was. Firstly got to meet 'Hendo', real nice guy, but thought i'd walked into a Nike showroom, think the only thing that wasn't Nike was his car:whistle:. Then met up with Paul from GM, again real nice guy, and Dave the photographer. We warmed up by hitting a few balls, before Hendo was asked to step forward and be fitted, after trying a few different makes you can guess what he went for, yip the Nike VR.

Then it was my turn, we tried a few but narrowed it down to the TM RBZ and Ping i20 with both giving good results and distance. In the end i went with the RBZ's as i felt the Ping sat slightly open at address. One very happy chap and proud owner a a 3&4 RBZ hybrid, thanks GM & AG.

Chris, hope your cut finger doesn't stop the good golf mate.

Sounds good. Interesting you were down to the RBZ vs i20, as these two are contenders for a future hybrid purchase for me.

Not seen the RBZ in the flesh but it looks big in pics.. almost more like a fairway wood than a hybird. How did it look size wise compared tothe i20?

MB,
I20 is slightly smaller, although being matt black in colour it looks smaller, i really didn't think i'd go for the RBZ as i'm not fond of white clubs, but couldn't argue with the results.

Cheers PJ, Think most of us are easily swayed with new shiney things on here, it also showed up a flaw with my striking with the launch rpm much higher than expected, so that explains the extra height i've been getting through the bag. I was always a bit sceptical about fitting but it was worthwhile getting it and i will go back.

Evening all,

Like needmoreclub I too was one of the Lucky 2 selected for this fitting. I also will write a review but would like to say thanks to both AG and GM for today.

i went with the mindset that I wasn't interested in the brand at all and would have taken anything so long as it was right for me. I tried the Ping I20's, the RBZ's and the Nike VR's.

Had to try the Nikes since everything else is Nike except the car ;-) lol

Anyway between the stats and hitting the balls it was clear by a mile that the Nikes were indeed tho ones for me, I would have liked them nice white RBZ's that needmore walked away with but alas there was no point I just couldn't hit them, too light for me apparently.

I also transpired that I need an extra layer of take on my grips so for that reason I didn't get to take mine home today, will need to wait a week for them.

Anyway, Very happy with the new additions to my bag and looking forward to a great season ahead.

Thanks again to AG for the fitting and GM for this opportunity.

Nice to meet Paul, Dave and Needmore all very nice chaps.

P.S. I decided to stab my middle finger yesterday with a Stanley while trying to erect a greenhouse for my dad. Fortunately some home made butterfly's and a few plasters meant that everything was a1 for today. :-)
