Ambiguous Thread Titles

This thread should be listed as the title "ambiguous thread titles" does not represent the OPs actual post which is about irrelevant or non descriptive titles.

Ambiguous is the "wet balls do you dry them" thread.

Geez...don't open the thread if you don't like th title.

I think that's the point. The op is too busy and too important to waste his time reading the threads. He wants top line info in the title so he can decide if it's worth investing any energy in it:confused:

I don't believe that was what the OP was suggesting at all and you have clearly taken it to an extreme. A hover function is useful, it is used on virtually every other forum I use; I don't really wear the server space argument as it is possible to read threads going back to October 2008.

Have I? Really? You got me doing all that from such a little post I made.. Wasn't even me who mentioned server space!

I was merely commenting on what others have said and also that I think if the structure is need of uniformity to suit then it'd become sterile! But what do i know its just an opinion not looking for an argument!

Well I for one agree with Slab.

Vague thread titles piss me off, what's so hard about putting a bit more info in?

Is it because the thread is really just another repeat of a subject that's already been done to death and the poster is afraid that to give the game away will see nobody opening it?
Or is the thread subject just Dull City?

Takes 2 seconds to open a thread think nope not for me. Wouldn't it be a sterile boring world if everything and every post was structured in the same manner. If it were that way we'd have to rename the forum to the North Korea daily and then you know it'll all be the same

I don't think the OP mentioned uniformity at all, just a desire of a bit more of a clue to thread content in the thread title ;)

I agree with OP

The thread title doesn't have to precis the whole subject but it would be nice to have the slightest clue what the thread is about.
I often browse the forum on my phone and it's not the quickest experience.

A thread title like "why is it?" gives me no clue as to what it is about.
I don't want to wait for the page to open just to find it's about Stack and Tilt ...

Think of the forum as a packet of revels. You don't know if a thread is coffee one until it's too late!!!!:D

Staggering arrogance!

I hope for the sake of folks you play with that this is only your online personality!
