I was just watching one of the more recent videos on the European Tour site, in which Alvaro Quiros is interviewed:

Given that he's (one of) the longest hitters on tour, I couldn't help but notice that he has quite a short backswing compared to others. In fact, it's almost unusually short. The video illustrates it well.

I suppose my question is then: where is he getting the power from? I get that he's doing everything right elsewhere, but I would have thought the shorter backswing robs him of a little extra power compared with others (not that I'm comparing him to John Daly's extended backswing, but you know what I mean)?
