Can you please give me a update on what you think of them and any issues ? Are they worth the money ? Do you notice the difference from the older one?

Cheers

Midnight...

hmmm, I have a day one XBONE with Fifa, Ghosts and Forza5. I got it as I wanted something more for multimedia and so far have used it loads. Interface takes a bit to get used to and is slightly annoying. I dont use the voice activation as it appears Kinect doesnt understand Northern :)

Fifa looks immense and I am clocking up some time on it. Ghosts looks good but is a bit pants imho. Forza again looks and plays great but gets a bit boring so barely played it although my lads like it a lot.

I do like netflix on it though and have used skype a fair bit with family oop north.

Personally I would wait until more titles are out and a few tweaks etc are made as I believe both PS4 and XBONE have their gremlins so far if purely for gaming. If like me its more of a multimedia unit/bluray etc then go for it (if you can find one in stock atm)

I have heard similat things, great hardware but lacking good titles at the moment. But when the Ps3 does such great gaming why would I change at the moment..

I was in my lads room the other day and he was playing fifa 14 on his 360... it looked crap compared to new gen. Not grounds enough to change mind you but really highlighted the difference

Just as a slight aside G1bbo, I have an xbox360 and Netflix (£5.99PM) but when I try and use netflix it says I must have a MS XBOX Live GOLD membership to then stream Netflix? is that right I have to now pay MS £5PM just to stream kiddies movies for my wee boy using Netflix? (I wont if thats the case as that nearly doubles the price for the privilege)

PS4 for me. FIFA is superb, graphics are obviously better but overall the game just plays better, the players move more realistically and even the ball behaves more like a real one would. Can't really comment on Ghosts, I have it but I'm utterly useless at it, I'll get a bit more practice before I try to review it!:o

Correct Colin. I only used my xbox for streaming sky recently, just use the iPad now as £5 to get it online for what I use is crazy. Do you not have a smart tv? Can stream netflix from most new tvs these days....

got one of the last pioneer TV's before they stopped making them, stunning picture quality but not a smart TV unfortunately. Thanks for confirming the greedy oiks at MS want money for everything

you can get 12month + 2 free for £30 online

if its only used for streaming then still an expense too many I guess.

G1bbo1971 is my xb name, bring it on @ fifa ;)

I don't have them but my brother does. He got a shock playing Fifa on the Xbox One. First game he was shouting and swearing. Ended up with a message from the manager telling him to watch his language.

Potential for innovation with Xbox One is huge with good kinect integration. It works very well compared to the old one and requires a lot less space. The lean options in BF4 are interesting as well. One big issue though was during bluray playback of the LOTR. Noticeable stuttering frames and issues during playback. Hopefully something fixable with a future software update.

PS4 is a nice looking unit but not much in the way of exclusive software yet. The most played game he has is a retro style shooter with a few bells and whistles. Not exactly inspiring. Also had issues with it overheating in the space below his TV which used to house his PS3 and Xbox 360. The Xbox One has no issue with heating but the PS4 hated the space. Sounded like a jet engine and now he has to set it up on top. Probably thanks to the integrated PSU. Annoying since his unit was a custom build. Controller is a massive step up but I still hate it. Xbox won me over from PC with Halo and the original S controller and I just can't get on with PS layout.

PS4 eye feels a good bit behind the kinect but I suppose Sony haven't pushed it as a central feature so no big deal there.

Personally I will probably wait a year or so before upgrading.

Called in at my sisters house over xmas, she'd bought her hubby a new PS4.
He fired it up so I could see what it was like and to be honest I couldn't see a massive amount of difference between it and my PS3.
Need a shed load more games for me to be interested, got GT6 last week so I plan on wasting entire wekends on that

Is it a finish the sentence comp?? ;)

Just got COD on Xbox One but not really started it as hooked on Forza and Assassins Creed. Gamertag is Tiger3 if anyone wants to add
