Most importantly Mike H and the GM Dream Team!

Lets settle it once and for all.
Additionally if anyone can be bothered.
State why you voted YES/NO!!

by the way this is a light hearted matter of enjoyment and opinion expression amongst a world of Golf Lovers/Fanatics
So no offence given/taken with any answers!!!

Yep it does make a difference, I currently play with a fitted set of Mizuno MP30s and have just gone through the process of getting a new driver to meet my needs.

Even if it is psychological I feel it has been worth it.

i Voted yes because it is Scientifically proven in all matters of physics/chemistry/biology. In terms of Materials eg steel/graphite even Balls 2piece/3piece grip materials..... Swing Mechanics-MOST IMPORTANT--> Impact position!!!!! And also as some mention the psychological side!!

I voted no, for now as I dont hit the ball consistent enough to knowif 1 degree upright will transform my game. The way I see it, you are supposed to hit the ball first so if your precise angle is 1 degree out it wont make a blind bit of difference to the normal golfer.

Im definately open for persuasion matey, its just something ive never taken time to look into as I can hit my existing irons ok, not as consistant as id like though. I think its my upper half moving forward (target line)a little ahead of the turn at times.

good thing for you would be to get your hips turning and club on plane. I had that problem. sergios swing is one to copy for that .check this out
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WjtuBfTd2hk
watch his hips turn before his upper body comes round. Also how he keeps his centre line just a fraction behind the ball at impact, then turns through, if you try and copy them ideas you we begin to reduce your upperbody sliding forwards

which also helps keep the club on a better plane!
Do remember tho this takes a few practice sessions!
but stick with it and you'll see results.

I voted Yes Because.
I am confident in my swing even though i play off 9.6.
As i have stated in another post i was ill fitted with some r7 tp irons(off the shelf).

Custom fitting was recommended to me by two pros at my course and the clubs i have been fitted for were totally different to the r7 tps.
The fitting session is free with no pressure to buy anything.

Golf is about confidence and if custom fit makes me confident thats ok for me.
Also i got a better discount from my pro after the fitting even better than if id bought off the shelf clubs.

MVP having an opinion on a subject is good and fair enough but if you bang the same drum on and on it becomes repetitive and boring mate,i havent been on this forum long but it is very noticable you bang on about Custom fitting are you on commission or are you a secret pro with a bag full of experience hence some of your views and comments

OK if some one asks questions about c/fitting I feel i should reply as i think i have a good understanding of why it is necessary. Banging on about things is part of the forum! I have posted one thing about my personal wedge fitting. and this poll. other custom fit post have been buy others! Sorry, you could say everyone has been banging on about GOlf too much if your going to say that! But anyway opinions are all welcome.

As for saying am i pro in disguise, well you must think my opinions are worthy if im deemed to be a PRo
