Hi I am new to the forum and looking for some information. I was recently given some clubs and amongst them was an Albatros 60 degree lob wedge with an Apollo shaft and an Albatros grip. The trouble is I can't find any information about the club or even the manufacturer. It's as if it never existed, so any information would be very helpful.
cheers neil

welcome, if the Q. is around what the club is worth for resale

my take would be - given am guessing like most folks - having never heard of it, or indeed a company with that name it's probably not of special value because of that

you may know this stuff anyways but it being a lob wedge (60º) it will have been made only fairly recently in terms of years as that high a loft wedge was only really introduced fairly recently
plus would only have the value of a single club as opposed to a 'matched' set of irons

it's not a club built by one of the wedge specialist companies to being unknown it's not going to be something folks would necessarily be after acquiring (to the best of my knowledge)

possibly it's something that originated from japan, south korea (but that said have traveled and played there a bunch and have never seen any) or possibly china

around the world there's a bunch of golf clubs with albatros/s in their name (usually double 's' spelling but some with single 's') suppose it's possible (perhaps though unlikely) if any were higher end golf clubs they perhaps could have commissioned clubs with that name to hire out to visitors who come to play there or even have them for sale

only ways to find out for sure is a golf club expert - so any of the big internet retail sellers of second hand stuff may know something and would perhaps know more and answer an email - if you in the uk I believe 'golf bidder' is one of the biggest?

my gut feeling is there would be no special intrinsic value to it - other than a 'golfer' getting to use and like it who then might be willing to pay a few $'s if it works for their game
