Today was an honours board pairs comp and me and my partner were playing with two of our lady members.
It was a fairly cold morning.
We reached the turn and the two ladies stated that they were returning to the clubhouse to go to the toilet.
When they returned they'd put on extra layers of clothing.

Now, is it acceptable to leave the course to get extra clothing?

Has a rule been broken or is it poor etiquette?

I always thought that you should prepare yourself beforehand such that you don't need anything further from the clubhouse - am I wrong?

What about popping in to the clubhouse to buy a mars bar

I dont see it as a problem, there are other greater things to worry about in this life

Nothing to get worked up about IMO Dave. Either yourself or your partner could've done the same, or gone and got a drink / bite to eat.

I dont think its poor form at all, they probably thought it might get out warm so didnt need to pack more layers, how ever british weather is very unpredictable and they have gone and sorted it. I am sure you wouldnt mind if they just blimey its warm im just popping to the toilet and I am going to put my jacket in the locker too as I dont have much bag space. They have gained no advantage and probably only took another 30seconds to put it on.

I am sure that the rules say that you can leave the course so long as it doesn't hold up play. To be fair, it was cold this morning and I dont blame the ladies at all!

CHILLY!!! CHILLY!!! 22 deg in the subtropical northwest to-day,shorts and polo only even had to borrow some suntan lotion of the lady capt.

Npwt wrong with that. I've headed out without a waterproof top and nipped to my locker after 9 to pick one up. You have to go past our car park to get between the 9th green and 10th tee and a lot of guys stop at their cars to pick stuff up or leave stuff in the boot

If you broke a putter you could go into the pro shop and buy a new one (as long as you didn't exceed 14 clubs total) so why would putting on an extra jumper be a problem?

V strange question.

No problem, same as me dumping my jumper in my car after 6 on sat morning. Could have picked one up, but also could have dropped one off. As long as I'm not changing a few sticks, what's the issue?

If the op, dave, was right, we might all need to go electric, to carry the wardrobe.
