Right, as I sold my old G5 kit a few months back I have been struggling with the Yonex driver that GM kindly sent me to reader test.

Don't get me wrong, it is not a bad driver, just that I am looking for something with a lower ball flight coming into the winter months with the howling winds coming in off the Atlantic. Just been checking out ebay, and I've seen a nice Titelist 905R driver that I am interetsed in. Anyone had any experience of these drivers?

It is a 9.5 degree with a stiff Speeder shaft...good combo for low spin, low trajectory?

Any thoughts?

Cheers

Redwood am not being cheeky here or getting at you for having a high handicap but a 905r stiff shaft IMO will hinder you think about trying to pick up a G10 or such like and swinging smother into the wind believe it or not you proably find a few more yards and hit more fairways or try a TM Burner .

Agree with you there Murph my 2 handicap mate has one and has done since it came out and won't change it but in the hands of a high handicapper IMO would put them of the game.

Maybe you should have a look at the G10 with the Prolauch Red in it,that will keep the ball down a bit as long as you dont hit too much down on the ball

I can vouch for that.
Great driver and shaft combination.
The G15 on the other hand..........

What's the problem with the G15? (Just about to splash after trying one out with a fitter before the VAT increase) :D

Not a lot. Just that my purchase coincided with a downturn in my play. I'll sort it out eventually...
But I'm seriously tempted to buy my G10 back off my mate as a "back-up". I was soooo confident with it.
