Specifically on the Cobra AMP.
I have a cobra amp 10.5 Stiff shaft driver. It has the adjustable flight technology (aft) built in. There are 3 settings Open, Closed and Neutral.
When I bought the driver the guy at Direct Golf placed the driver in the closed position and and I was hitting it fairly well. Out on the course was a different matter. After a few nights at the driving range I am beginning to straighten out my left to right movement of the ball.
But out on the course I am still getting a left to right. Some times its not very noticeable and other times I can travel the entire width of the fairway (l>r).
OK back to the question. How exactly does the AFT work. Looking at the fitting on the driver (shaft to head) there is no difference in the O,C,N teeth where they meet the driver head. Also there is no noticeable difference in the face setting at address.
After being out tonight I was playing around with my grip and also turning the fact slightly closed at address. On my practice swings I was stopping in the centre and the face was neutral (or what looked like it) I was reading on the internet that an open face at impact causes the left to right movement of the ball.
Sorry for the long winded post but just curious if the AFT actually does what it says.
