Not upset mate,just confused. You mentioned dubbin for shoes that aren't made from leather.
Not a fan of adidas but love the look of this shoe. With various threads about splitting, being banned from courses etc I've shied away but I can get a pair at a good price to tempted to take a punt

Mate just got the grey pair and loves them, I think I might get a pair in yellow/white as something different.

I think next years ones will be better. The six spike ones have had trouble with the studs snapping clean off as they have no protection around the stud. The tm rep showed me a drawing of the new soles and each stud had some sort of rubber surround protecting the studs. Apparrently this this is a big problem but I know 3 people who wear the six spikes with no problem. Perhaps its just fatty's that break them

I've got the Tours. Most comfy golf shoe I have ever worn (including an old and new pair of FJs). Not had any problem with water leaking into the shoe.
Must say I've not experienced 'tearing up the greens' in them either and would suggest that this is gross exageration by quite a few of the 'anti anything but traditional shape' brigade. Did they produce a deeper imprint than a normal spike? They did. Were these imprints gone by the time we had put clubs back in bags and walked off the hole? Yes they were (I checked).
