Addiction

Like Ken, quit smoking (from up to 100 a day) cold turkey. Always maintained since that there is no such thing as can't quit, it's because you don't want to - I don't want to quit golf.

Good for you. I can't bring myself to try (quiting) on less than 10 per day. Golf doesn't help, I like a puff on the way round.

I quit some years back for more than 6 months, then started again during a social drink session, I dont smoke very often, in fact I can go most days with long breaks between smokes and go through them in varied number, sometimes 3 or 4 in a day sometimes 10 or more and occasionally just the one, I like one when Im outside more as you get some oxygen with it :) I smoke the roll ups as they dont stink your clothes out and are cheaper and as I chuck a fair bit away it saves me money :D :D

I could do with drinking less, but the golf, no way. (although I am currently in two minds about winter golf, and battling tennis elbow, which isn't fun either (clearly not a serious complaint, but it does make golf a misery)).

If I lived nearer to wales or scotland I could very easily become addicted to mountain biking, but in Herts, it is not so addictive. Not enough (any) mountains.

Since golf is the only sport I still play regularly, it has turned into an addiction. I really can't not play or not practice for any lenght of time otherwise I get crabbit! I need my golf !

At present I'm off with a neck injury, over three weeks since I last played or held a club properly . Even had to give a WO in a winter tie recently because of this. It looks like I may well not get any golf over the holidays as I'm still not right.

Still I've always got the Forum to dip in and out off just to keep me sane !
