Can anyone give me any feedback on Adams tight lies woods?

I want something around 16-17.5° to fill a gap in the bag. I like my 5 wood, but loft is too close to 3H.

Found a tight lies 16° in good condition. Think it is 'tight lies 2'.

Likely other option would be a cobra 3-4 for around twice the price

Thanks in advance ?

They are cracking clubs.

Do exactly what they say on the tin and are fantastically good off the deck.

I’m very surprised no other OEM has copied that shallow face design tbh.

Everything is built for all out distance on a perfect strike these days. Big powerful faces.

Adams nailed it with these imo. User friendly and confidence inspiring.

Top gear. As is everything Adams used to make before TM ruined it

Thanks for this!

How are they for forgiveness?

And do you know if the Tight Lies 2 would be after the TM takeover part then?

I've got a Tight Lies 3W. Cost £26 new from Sports Direct website. Unfortunately I can't hit it for toffee, it's been gathering dust in the garage for the last 18 months.

I found them forgiving. I suppose it’s all relative to the swinger though.

Flew high from memory which I suppose could be a sign of forgiveness.

I think that TM never actually produced any Adams clubs after they bought them. I could be wrong (possibly am) but I think TM just knicked all the patents and stuck them in TM clubs.

I’ll be honest. I’ve previously owned an array of Adams clubs from XTD forged irons (stupendously good), XTD driver, pro and pro mini hybrids (which I miss dearly) plus plenty more and everything felt a notch above most OEM in terms of quality.

I would imagine that the Price of the club you are looking at is good value.

I would defo consider one if I was in the market.

I had Adam Tight Lies Redline 3 & 5 woods which I had for a few years and they were great clubs. Adams made their reputation on their fairway woods, and they generally got great reviews.

I've had a few Adams clubs in the past, they were nothing special to be honest, but good value for money and solid enough.

Yeah I think that 'velocity/speed slot' behind the face was an Adams creation, as my old Speedline 5 wood I had years ago had one, then you saw the same thing turn up in TM clubs like the Aeroburner.

yeah that’s my understanding too.

The speed slot might be a fantastic piece of golf club making innovation. I’m not a techy so I won’t claim to be an expert.

What I will day though is that my old 18 degree Adams pro hybrid with Aldila tour Red shaft carries about the same as my current Srixon h85 16 degree hybrid with an expensive HZRDOUS 6.0.

It was an amazing club which I do admit I search for on EBay quite frequently hoping to find a mint one.

It was reckoned to be one of the best fairway woods in it's day.

Yeah it's £50. Comes without headcover but they're £6 on ebay
