Played this the day after St Davids and was equally impressed. Aberdovey is a beautiful seaside links course set in the Snowdonia National Park with a newly built clubhouse and pro shop. The course has a classic out and in layout which plays out into the prevailing wind which makes scoring on the front nine a challenge. The par 3's are particulary good and demand total accuracy in order to hit the green. The 16th is a great short par 4 which plays along the railway line and begs you to have a go. The course was in great shape and the weather was fine. Aberdovey has the old school grass lined bunkers which I somehow managed to avoid. This is a fabulous course and I will be back.
