Reading the Compass point chat got me thinking that there must be someone on here who can boast the most courses played… Phonetically

(not sure 26 is even doable but I’d have thought 24 might be and I’m hoping there’s a forumer/GM staffer that can maybe claim something near 20)

Naturally there will be plenty of different courses that qualify for each letter and that's fine, also I'll allow 'Royal' & 'The' and similar, to be treated as a prefix and not part of the club name, similarly overseas courses with La/Le etc etc, are not really part of the course name (compass points are part of the name though)

Who has the most &/or most varied/interesting?

Think I'm missing J, X and Z. Don't think that I'd get away with the Wanderers Golf Club Johannesberg.

According to this site there are no golf courses in the UK beginning with X or Z, meaning you'd have to look abroad for those if there are any. In addition, there are only 5 Js, 5 Qs and 3 Ys.

Trip to Asia needed perhaps
V I can cross off The Vale country club only a couple of hours up the road and offer a stay including Cabin based in 2 staying overnight from £115🤔 might persuade Mrs M to join me for that one. We both get a game of golf and an overnight stay for less than £200.

As for the others you might be right but going to Asia for a holiday has never appealed to me, the one time I went for work I spent so much time sweating its out me right off 😂

I had to giggle looking at the lists in posts 3 and 4.

D-S reeling off an impressive list including Pinehurst, Kiawah etc... Orikoru scraping the barrel with Uxbridge, wouldn't be surprised if there are some pitch and putt courses in there :ROFLMAO:

(I know it's quantity not quality - but still made me laugh)

What's your 'U' then? There aren't many to choose from!

I'm not knocking Uxbridge - it qualifies - it just doesn't resonate like Torrey Pines or Zimbalu Lodge (which is just showing off :ROFLMAO:)

My U would be Utrecht.

I searched for the last time we did this list. In 2020 my U was... Uxbridge :ROFLMAO:

I'm still missing Q, X, Y. Although PGA Catalunya has been rebranded as a Quinta do Lago Resort so maybe I could slide it in
