A Question for you all

Personally I think the problem you have is that you are competing against the single most comprehensive and accessible resource the world has ever seen - the Internet. Even worse for you, I can get it all on my phone.

I'm no expert but I don't see how a map, no matter how much. Information it gives, can stand up in that company.

I think you've misunderstood what I'm looking for ^. I'm not trying re-create the internet, this project could very well end up as an application for your phone even. This is just research i'm using to direct my project really.

Thank you for all your comments, its been very helpful.

I use different resources for different things. I use Sat Nav as the primary system for getting around roads but will still local area maps, especially when going abroad.

OS has always been the source for off-road excursions - walking. Unfortunately it requires two dying arts to use them - how to read a map and how to use a compass.

Around a course I'll use a GPS and/or a shotsaver - it's a matter of scale.

OS is not the obvious source for golf info, not even location as the web is quicker and, with its ability to zoom, far more useful. If you don't have the web handy the AA guide is good substitute.
