Is it an unwritten rule that should you enter a wooded area alongside the fairway to retrieve your ball that you return holding three unfamiliar golf balls and a page of a gentleman's publication but not the intended target ball?

This is proving quite perplexing, although not entirely unwelcome.

yes, that in rule 12 section 4 clause 399,401 a i think.- any player finding strange balls within offending bush(within his line, and nearest point of relief) shall immediately retire to the locker room and entertain with gentlemans publications...koff,koff! ;)
im presuming someone has been stuck in that quandry before on that very hole!!!

Ahhh..the traditional pron fairy.
Who brought delight to many a youngster by scattering copies of 'razzle' and 'men only' amongst the bushes of the local park.
Although they were slightly damp and sun weathered they were nonetheless treasured by this burgeoning youth.
But alas the poor mythical creature has to hang up his wings as the ever encroaching march of technology has made him redundant. Damnable internet! Today's yunguns' don't know how lucky they are!

When I was a youngster, there was an almost constant supply of mucky mags to be found at the garages behind our local corner shop.

I kept them under my bed - until my Dad found them.

They've got it too easy. Oh for those heady days when the the hedge fairies would deliver a bountiful wedge of Fiesta, wih the odd Mayfair chucked in for the more ambitious. We know not from where they came, but we give thanks.

This isn't the direction I thought my first thread would take...
