Well it wasn't an outstanding round today but things are certainly improving. I struggled a bit when I played Studley Wood and Tadmartan last week, so wasn't sure how today would go. Anyway, the wonderful editor-in-chief sent me the link to download the photos from Tadmarton game. So I looked through the pictures yesterday and in addition to bringing back lots of happy memories it also opened my eyes.

You see there were some photos of me just after impact with a face like a bulldog chewing on a wasp. My body position wasn't great weight hanging back etc. and there were some where I looked calm, almost serene. Body position better and I know those were shots I hit pretty well. So I went out today with the single swing image of being calm and serene.

The result? Much better tee to green. Need to work on bunker play and putting. 94 with two blobs for 39pts. Just a shame I can't have a photographer following me around every round! ;)

Nice one Tiger.

It does seem a bit odd that the face you pull at impact can affect your swing but hey, whatever works ;)

Unless maybe it meant there was tension or you were trying to hit it too hard?

Definitely the latter Gary. For me the bad shots are linked to too much tension and trying to hit it too hard :)

I know exactly what you mean. Had 9 holes Thursday night and most bad shots were from trying to hit it hard! Good shots smooth tempo and everything connected! Try as I might I kept hitting hard!
