You need to find one that contains GLYPHOSATE ....

That will do the job.

If you want to wipe the lot out, use sodium chloride. But beware that you need to keep pets and kids away from the treated area.

Use roundup ultra 3000 and a spray bottle. It's concentrated and you can make it up in different strengths to kill almost anything (including the japanese knotweed I found at the bottom of the garden last year) A litre might set you back about £30 but it really works and lasts for ages if you spray it

Weedkillers such as Roundup, Weedol etc that contaon Glycosulphate kill by absorbtion of the weedkiller through the leaves. This means it will only kill the weed that it comes in contact with. Because of this it is ideal for use in flower beds etc. but it only kills what is already growing and will not prevent seeds already in the soil from germenating. For drives etc where you don't want anything to grow, you need to use Pathclear or similar. These not only kill the weed that is growing, but also kills the soil thus preventing anything else from growing. These weedkillers generally last for a couple of months before becoming ineffective.
Sdium Chloride is not a weedkiller, but commor salt. Sodium Chlorate is the weedkiller.
The problem you seem to have is dust etc washing through the gravel and lodging on top of the membrane you have put down to prevent the weeds. The weeds are now growing on top of the membrane and not through it.

Don't mix it with ************ though and compress it 'cos it might not produce the result you want. Worked for the IRA though

All sodium Chlorate sold is now "Suppressed" because of this.

I can vouch for Roundup- thats for sure. Its like the most efficient srial killer of weeds or anything green that you will find !!

And after you've sprayed it, make sure you dont trample it across the lawn too !! (Not that I would do anything so daft of course.........)

I can vouch for the power of Roundup also. Our Greenkeeper accidentally sprayed it on all our greens a few years back after picking up the wrong bottle. It totally destroyed the lot and we had to relay all of them.

Surely you have to pass your PA1 test to become a greenkeeper? Part of that is so you can read labels on herbicide containers correctly.
I cannot believe a greenkeeper 'picked up the wrong bottle'. It's poison he's dealing with, not washing up liquid.
Does he still have a job? That would be an instant dismissal at most clubs. :D

He does still have his job, he offered to resign but it wasnt accepted. I'm not sure of what exactly happened but the Roundup and whatever he meant to use weren't in their original bottles. To be fair to him the course is always in immaculate condition and the greens are now better than they were before.
