A lesson for Azteccs27

As Jon will tell you he was VERY out to in. But he has worked hard over the winter and although the posture needs a little work, the swing path is much improved :)

In this situation teaching pros are instructed to suggest alternative past times, knitting/cross-stitch perhaps (it is making a strong comeback) or maybe lawn bowls...

Isn't that correct Bob?

Always reminds of a time that I was trying drivers at AG Kettering with a mate, he was hitting a few and was slicing them all over the shop. He asked the assistant what he would recommend and was told 'a 3 wood'

I don't understand. What is wrong with this picture?

Nothing, or so I'm told!

Jolly good couple of hours today. Small tweaks needed, but all in all, Bob was very happy with my swing (he'll tell you how bad it was before). He even used the word "perfect" at one point (when describing the above freeze frame, if I'm not mistaken, I had to ask him to repeat it, incase I'd mis-heard!) My posture is terrible, but that doesn't just apply to my golf swing unfortunately, but it's not one of the 5 laws, so Bob said don't worry about it :)...

As someone who just about gave up all hope at the end of last summer (it was "Homer bad"!!...ok, maybe not quite! ;)), it was nice to hear that I was doing some stuff right! Really encouraging to hear after the hard work I've put in. It's not perfect by any means (despite Bob's praises ;)) but it's getting there, and that's all I can ask for.

Of course, this does mean I'll end up playing like a total knob next weekend! :D

Massive thanks to Bob for taking the time out today. After a nightmare morning (HID had car keys and was in Cambridge. Clubs, shoes and glove were in boot!) I wasn't expecting much after rushing round to borrow a car and was swinging with gripless shoes and Bob's TM blades but it was a blast and I'm looking forward to getting down to the range at Woodhall tomorrow to work on the stuff Bob has given me.

No pressure on the tee next weekend then

Especially the ones on the chinny chin chin. :ears:

;)

Just back from the range, relatively pleased after yesterday. In other news, walking back from the range, the Bracken looks to be in superb condition, so I hope we get at least a little bit lucky with the weather next weekend as we will be in for a treat with the condition of the courses.
