A hatred of Decorating!

That is the deciding bit I think. I tried it once and I was useless.

Question: How long should a decorator take to paint a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom flat? Including skirting boards, doorframe, and the wood bits running along the walls?

Depends on state of walls ceiling and wood work! Size of rooms? What colours? Is it empty or is their furniture to move about!

Not a fan but not a fan of paying someone when you know you can do just as good a job.

I never have that dilemma

I would probably do the kids rooms painting and finishing touches but anything else is for the pros.

Its not worth my time and effort to learn, which is as expensive or more than getting someone in.

My time is valuable, money can be replaced but it cannot.

Hate it with a passion but strangely enjoy stripping down paintwork and then starting from scratch. Did our bannister and staircase the other year and really got into it and it does look good. We've just had our bathroom completely redone and I'm now doing the window and door frame and do enjoy it once I'm doing it, it's the thought of doing it that stresses me out - a bit like going to the gym, hate the thought of going but once I'm there it's fine.
