A Dilemma

any recollection I have of nairn is hazed by the memory of Saturday's curry - a tumultous, nay tortuous, rebellion from start to finish.

I seem to recall it as a bit of a nothing course, three in a line then a short duck inland. take away its location and what is there? nairn dunbar, perhaps from an over the fence perspective, looked better.

I rated nairn as the worst of the four we played that weekend

nought wrong with the company (smarm, smarm!!) even with you knocking the skin off the course.
playing cr*p doesn't help of course but I managed that all weekend and still 'enjoyed?' the others.

I'm very sorry but i don't associate with your sort anymore, unless you suddenly became a Judge or a Mason that is. :D :D :D

Get that membership sorted Patrick even tho it is a Gin Palace :)When are me and Craw getting a game :D

I think you are very very wrong. This is a course that held a walker cup and am championship and was asked to hold another. Would this be the case if it was not all that? they will also be holding the Curtis cup in 2012 here. You played the course after a very bad winter, a course which still has a lot of traffic over that time. the other courses you played that weekend have no winter golf played on them. Castle Stuart closed from November till end march, Spey Vally Closed for 3 months and boat of garten get's no winter golf at all till April.
Every time i've played it, its been in excellent condition.

You won't want to be signed on for f*ck all then :D

Steve and Crawford you are both more than welcome.

You will have to pretend to to be lawyers for Edinburgh though. :D :D

Cheers Patrick ,i'll get the Bombay Shappire sorted, one of my mates plays it alot thru is work and loves it,so would look forward to it,you don't get big tournaments like the Curtis and Walker Cups being a goat track i'm sorry, its a pity i missed it,all the courses greens in that part of Scotland where bad at the time of year,to be honest my clubs were good but i'm nearly 180 miles south of you.

I am on the side of Viscount with Nairn.Echo the comment of take away the seaside location and where would it sit in rankings?

I have played it twice and really cannot see what the big fuss is,it's nice yes, but special?Na,Not for me I am afraid... regardless of the condition.

Patrick, I am sure you will agree with me that some of the postings on this thread remind you of the young guy in the Apprentice.

He was unable to appreciate the difference between the good champagne, on offer from Lord Sugar, from the cheap crap he drank with his pals on a Friday night boozing!

Enjoy the 'good' champers!

You are exactly the reason I wouldn't join and the reason I left my last course!
