A brilliant back 9

Had the round of my life yesterday. Play off 20, after 9 I was 12 over par and worried. Our back 9 is much longer than the front and I find it harder. But some how managed to par the 3 par 5's on the back 9 and birdie the 18th after missing an eagle putt. Dropped one shot on the whole back 9 to finish 13 over. A personal best, with my previous being 18 over. Shot 84 (par 71) and absolutely buzzing. Just want to get back out there and do it all over again. Not quite sure where the form came from with my 2 previous rounds being 18 over and 24 over. How often do you have a spell where it all just 'clicks' ?

WOW!! What a back nine that is. Cracking effort and you know it's in there so you just need to tie both nines on the same day and walk off with the silverware and a big handicap cut. Well played

Nope wasn't a qualifier unfortunately. Yet to play my first competitive round of golf. Just about ready to take the plunge i think. Was just a casual game with the old man.

Well played and can understand why you're buzzing.

Hope you can repeat it soon, but from my own experience I played several rounds after scoring by far my best back nine in September (a 43) and have not got near it since.

Yeah, il be honest I don't think I will shoot that again for a bit. And can't quite believe how much I switched on for the back nine. But im gonna take the positive and know that it's in me somewhere. After that I'd say I'm due a bad round. It's just the level of inconsistencies that does me, to go from 24 over to 13 over in my eyes is crazy. But I suppose being inconsistent is the norm of a handicap golfer. So we take the positives

Well done me man, played my first nine hole comp of the year on Thursday and shot 20 points, could easily of been 25. but the back nine I shot 12 points and so easily could of been 2. nice to get the bogey/ tough holes butt kicked though eh.

Couldn't agree more mate! Even if the new bag did destroy my awful 2 wheel pull trolley! Iv now had to become a 3 wheel man, which I swore I wouldn't!
