72, 74, 74 or +3 +3 +3

In the last 3 comps I have scored +3 in all 3, which I am happy with, but upon analysing the rounds, I am a little annoyed at myself!!

In the 3 rounds:
8 3 putts
7 1 putts
No sand saves
Only par saves when a green was missed

In my mast round, I hit 15 of 18 greens, and managed to take 35 putts!!

If I could putt, then I would be off at least half my handicap, and our gents team would have won the league this season!!

Do I:
A: Need a new putter
B: Need a lesson with my current putter
C: Need to snap the current putter, as just use a wedge in stead!!

on a serious note I would maybe have a lesson and pratice the drills. I had a lesson a while back and instead of doing the drills I bought a new putter. Now going back to practise, practise and a bit more. Especially after missing 3 birdie putts and 3 par putts today

Get a scotty and feel the difference

I had one, and sold it!! Been searching on fleabay for another, hoping to pick up a bargain!

Would Bob be able to give me some advice on here? I know what some of the major flaws in my stroke are!

I reckon Ill bite the bullet and go for a lesson, still got a half hour from groupon to take!!

But thanks Nikon, you have just given me permssion to purchase a Scotty!!

I really like the look of the 1.5 models, might need some extra weight in a Scotty though!

Can I ask where your problems lie please?
Is it the direction you have problems with or distance control?

I just got a scotty Newport 2.5 which has a very nice weight, only thing I found is you have to increase the grip on a scotty as they are so thin.

My stroke is far too long, and I need to decel on the way through to avoid rocketing the ball miles past the hole!

I find that when I do this, I hit the ball off line alot, but distance wise, I am ok.

Most of my misses are missing on the right side.

15/18 greens in regulation is great shooting.

Are the 3 putts due to being a long way from the hole with the 1st (and 2nd ) putts or is the problem with the short putts?

I far prefer to miss the GIR, chip on and (hopefully) 1 putt.

At the end of the day you are playing some great golf. Are you not getting too focussed on the "bad" putting and therefore not letting your natural stroke flow

Its generally the short ones that are the problem.
