Anyone know if I'm likely to get 6 Nations tickets nearer the time from gumtree / ebay / facebook etc at a reasonable price from those who can no longer attend? Looked at some of the ticket resale websites and the prices are scandalous.

Highly unlikely. Tickets for the Italy home matches are usually a good price and you can always get them. Twickers games are like gold dust.
