....on my ProV1
I bought a sleeve of these at the recent Thetfod meeting.
Played 18 there, followed by 18 around the Bracken at Woodhall and finally, 36 last Saturday at Stoke Rochford and Belton woods.
All with the same ball. Hardly a blemish.
If you were thinking of trying these, give them a bash :)
Does anyone remember using the old Titleist professionals? They only lasted 9 holes

Are you playing all your shots with a putter? I leave marks after 9 holes still!

Well, when I say I leave marks, I leave more marks as I can't afford to play these balls so hit the ones I find! :)

Maybe he hit them all fat :D

On Friday i played with a Bridgestone B330s that i'd found on the course, within 5 holes the cover looked like it needed a haircut, but to be quite honest on anything except full shots,it felt like a stone.
I still have some Titleist Professionals,Tour Prestige, and Maxfli Revolutions in my practice bag, durability was awful, but the feel was superb.

Just wish I could play a full round without loosing a ball!

It's rare that I play a full round with the same ball.

this!!!!

went 9holes with same ball on fridat thought to myself i could make it 18 with it, lost it with my second shot on the 10th, drop shot hooked left, then bladed it over green into uber thick rough/ forrest! 2 balls gone in 3 swings lol

In my experience the prov's tend to cut up pretty quickly. I find the TM Penta far better durability wise and can get a fair few rounds out of one. I suppose it's all down to the way you hit the ball really, and i assume Bob hits it pretty clean being a pro n all. Or is he just tight... :o

I'm afraid it is rare for any of my balls to last that long and if they do then they are most certainly marked for life by then. To be honest if they last two rounds and start to look a bit tired I stick them in the practice bag. Maybe you just don't hit them very hard now you've reached a certain age Bob

I used the first of my 'Pure White' Srixons today.

I changed it for an old ball on the 9th tee because my card was beyond hope and I was going for the green in 2 and didn't want to lose a new ball.

I know it had only been played for 8 holes, but apart from the yellow tree mark it looked like I hadn't hit it all.

Even though ProV's stay playable for ages I think you can tell quite quickly they've had some hammer.

prov's look yellowish after 9 holes, the soft cover marks even with slight scuffs- sure you werent using a top flite.
Hard bone dry fairways always make big drivers, try it on wet cold fairways, even the big boys at Gleneagles were averaging 250yds at the 18th

That being the case, you should have no problems telling the difference between 2 balls never been hit and one thats had 4 rounds

I wasn't looking for an arguement, I was just saying that the new ProV1s last longer than the older versionse.g Titleist Professional.
I'll keep my opinions to myself in future.
