The trouble is that no matter how big and how great the definition is they will still show the same old crap on it. Repeats and cheap fly on the wall celebrity TV, what a load of old tosh.
 
Not to mention that most programmes aren't filmed with high def in mind and you'll see far too much than you need to.

I think HD with a strong MHz makes some programmes look "cheap". You can tell that staging is poorly built etc. I never really watch m hd channels on sky either...
 
Have a 47in 3D HD 400hz TV and tbh you only get the full capacity when watching a bluray DVD. Most other stuff is no better on it than my old 32in Cathode Ray Tube TV. Just bigger and as DDD says sometimes you see too much detail and it looks dung.

Absolutely, you can see the makeup clearer, pimples, spots etc too, and thats just the men.
