suffice to say it takes the pressure off the second shots and around the green. 3 putters in the FS section now as sticking with a cut down TM Spider after really struggling with blades and half mallets even though that's what my stroke demanded.................apparently:confused:

Just goes to show, it's what you like and feels right, not what the text manuals say you should have.

I also stopped 'rocking the shoulders' like you're supposed to and lead with the arms, makes more sense to me.:mmm:

Similar story to me, last week 39, this week 31. Put a bit more practice in on my putting and chipping this week. Main point being to stop looking up to see the ball.

Good stuff. That's a noticeable improvement so whatever you've done has worked. Completely agree that it's what feels right for you that's important.

Putting is a mystery to me, yesterday morning couldn't hole anything more than 3 feet, in the evening holed 3 that were 25-30 feet. I am sure luck plays a big part with my putting.

Bought a face balanced mallet with manhoosive alignment aid last week, even though like you I should be using a partially toe weighted type. Excited to get on the course tomorrow and try it out .
Practice green is promising and I love the way it feels so balanced through the stroke.
I'd take a result like yours!

My ping app recommends and heel toe weighted putter and I was about to part with my hard earned. The last couple of weeks though the putting has been getting better and better. I'll leave it on hold a while longer.

I am the same. rocking the shoulders doesn't work for me. using big muscles to control delicate touches doesn't make sense to me.

Had 22 putts thru 15 holes and was out of the other 3 holes in the Scratch league match today.

After my putter-love-in thread earlier in the week, my putting was awful yesterday, as bad as it's ever been. Nothing short of appalling, couldn't get the pace, pushing everything right. Yuk.

I agree with CMAC though, sack what you're 'supposed' to have based on stroke, just go with what feels better. Putting is all about confidence so you need to like what you're looking at, because YOU like it, not because the manufacturers say it's fit for your stroke.
