3 club competition

I have been invited to take part in a charity event tomorrow (short notice!) and you are only allowed 3 clubs in the bag..


what would you take...and why?

I'm tinking of a 17 degree hybrid, a 4 iron for middle distance and use as a putter, and a PW for short stuff / sand. Any advice?

Think I'd go for a 5/6 iron, 52 degree wedge and a putter

I'd go 23* hybrid (use as putter) 6 iron, pw

If its 3 including the putter I'd go 5 iron 9 iron and the flat stick

3 hybrid, 7i, 50 wedge, putter. Or, same, but no putter. I can puttwith my 50 anyway.

As Tony says its usually 3 clubs plus the putter so take an extra one just in case.

I'd go with driver and wedge cos thats all I use anyway

3 wood, 7 iron, gap wedge. Plus putter if that is an option.

4iron, 7iron, SW imo.

Putt with the 4iron.

No need to have hybrid and 4 iron as there would be loads between them, you'd be better off with a club between a 4 iron and a wedge! lol x

If it's literally only 3 clubs: 5-wood, 7-iron, putter.

If it's 3 clubs + putter then I'd pick 5-wood, 6-iron, wedge, putter.

I think i'd just take one to intimidate people, probably a 7 iron or something.

We play 3 club every year i won with 3wood 8 iron and putter.

Tried different clubs, once using driver for putting but not a success for me.When you think you use the putter more than any other club i would advise useing putter.

Rescue, 9 iron and putter....as long as you can hit a 9 iron out of bunkers that is.

Which ever long club you use, it needs to be possible to use it off the fairway i.m.o.
