After winning our society (Hove Hobblers) Le Touquet Trophy (the magnificent Indian Ganesh!) at Broadstone last Friday, I am feeling very pleased after a second win yesterday.
I played in the Aircraft Golfing Society fixture at Hankley Common GC yesterday and was in the winner's enclosure again.
It was a great day out with fantastic weather and Hankley was as perfect as I have ever seen it. They have got Open qualifying there on the 20th June and the course was being prepared for that. The greens were like snooker tables and everywhere was beautifully manicured. Fabulous rare roast beef lunch with decent claret too. All in all a top day out.
The only downsides were that the Yorkshire pudding wasn't home made and the Hon Sec of the AGS cut my society handicap by 50% to 2!
I am on a roll it would seem but as ever with golf, the next round of poor ball striking and an embarassing score is only just around the corner I am sure! Chuffed for now though...
Cheers,
Snelly
