I'm interested in buying a second hand set black dot, regular shaft Ping i15's, G15's or G20's. Prices seem to vary from between £150 to almost new prices. I can get a new set of G20's or G15 for less than £350, with i15's being slightly more expensive, however for ease of use I'm leaning towards the G series

What would be a sensible price for a set in very good condition?

just use the ebay search including completed auctions. the true SH value is what people are actually paying - and that's a fairly pure market there.

From a sellers point of view, I'd want somewhere near £280 for my G20's (4-PW black) in the condition you've described. I think that'd be around about what you're looking at. Pings always seem to hold their value well.

Check out Golfbidder prices.

Then take a (healthy) percentage off for Ebay.

Checking Ebay 'Completed Listings' will give a reasonable figure for there too.

I just sold my 4 -9 G20's 16 months old for £150 to a forum member on here who's also at my club but if I had sold outside of that circle I would have sold for £180.00 as I thought that was a fair price. Just ordered some MP-T4 wedges so my Ping Tour-S wedges (47,52,56 & 60) are next but they will be a little more expensive to buy, say £140 for all 4

Try these guys Carnoustie Golf Shop they have an ebay site, they always have 2nd hand Pings on the go and are a Ping fitting centre .

First class lads to deal with and they take trade ins as well.

What made you sell your pings?

I will be in the market for some irons in the near future, so I've been browsing on eBay a fair bit.

For what your looking for, I'd pay anything from £150 to £220, although I'd be happy with 5-PW.

Last year I paid £150 for some Ping i5s (3-PW), excellent condition with brand new Lamkin grips. Some are on eBay now with a buy-it-now of £220, in a lot worser condition than mine :O Lovely clubs, but unfortunately I just can't get on with them. After the uni exams I think I'll treat myself to a quality set of fairly-new Pings or Mizunos :D

Ebay's a loose cannon when it comes to prices. Some cracking clubs can go for naff-all (three Titleist Vokey wedges went for 99p a couple of weeks ago :O), and some people want the world for a load of rubbish.

What made you sell your pings?

I just wasn't 100% with them, lots of height and looked very big at address, after all, the G range are game improver's. Went with some Mizuno MP-52's and I'm striking them great, getting more out of each club with less height and more feel.

Yeah I know what you mean about the height, I hit mine high and am losing distance from that. Think I'm going to keep mine for a little while longer though, don't think the misses will be too happy about me trading them in this soon lol

With some of the TM offers on R11's and RBZ's I'm debating as to whether I should go for Pings or the TM's. I don't particularly want a high trajectory as I hit quite high as it is which is now pushing me down the R11/i15 route.

I love my Cobra S2 forged but on bad shots I tend to push my lower lofted irons to the right so I'm hoping slightly more offset will help but I'm not sure if the i15's would be right.

When I had TM R7's I used to draw a lot of shots but lessons may have changed my swing slightly. My pro has advised I need to work on shoulder rotation and turning over the club however with lower back issues I'm struggling to get the rotation however I'm generally a good striker.
