Such a beautiful day today, so at 2pm I thought 'stuff it,....i'm nipping to the course for an hour to try out the Driver'.....a 910 D3 with RIP 60 firm shaft.

Never a good idea to start with a Driver in hand is it, and the 1st one was a very ugly low slice, which didnt feel good. I finished the hole, and then cut across to another of our holes where Driver is required of the Tee, and cued up again, ....this time a good connection, nice sound too, but again the slight fade, - slightly annoying as I'd set it up slightly closed to assist with a Draw !
Played another, same result, but leaving me with no doubt that its my rather rusty swing thats to blame, as I've hardly played at all since October after all.
3rd Hole.......finally.....good connection, - slightly pushed, but definitely better, and I'm liking the feel & sound........
4th Hole, - our difficult 10th, a dogleg right Par 4 of 450yds, Strke index 1, and I finally nail one down the middle, leaving me with about 180yds to the green. In all honesty, one like this in the middle of summer and I'd be delighted, so taking into account the cold air and soft ground at the moment, and I'm confident that me and my D3 are gonna get on fine.

It looks fantastic at address, all black and stealth-like, and I'm sure its the start of something good for the summer.

Still think you should have sent it down here so I could warm it up for you!
Unless I drive like a God thursday/friday I can see a fitting coming soon.

An instructor worried about his driving

There's no hope for the rest of us :D

I've got the D2 rather than the D3 but I think it's a great club.

As long as you don't expect it to be a miracle club! Anybody can hit bad shots with any club at any time.

I still feel like I'm getting to know mine after a couple of rounds with it, but the well struck shots have gone so well I know it's going to turn out just fine.

It feels like getting to know the temperament of a new pet :)
