1st medal success.....

.......came 4th on countback today after scoring a nett 66 and i'm really made up.

I've struggled for a while in medal comps before today but i dedcided to play bogey golf and it worked. I only had 1 bad hole which helped me a lot.

I've not been playing too well the last few weeks so i wasn't expecting too much today.

Im hoping to get 1.6 - 2 shot cut aswell

Its more than i can say for the sh one t i shot yesterday...
It was a stroke play medal....Real golf as im told
Shot 100 with my handicap of 19 thats an 81......9 over par...
I wasnt a happy camper as i was flying it until i got cocky on our par 3 13 and tried to lob over a bunker onto the green.....Skulled the first way beyond the far side of the green....Chipped back above the flag and then 3 putted for a 6........ After that the wheels started to buckle a bit....But at least the weathere was nice and the umbrella was in the boot of the car

Thanks for the replies gents, ive just had an email off HDID and my new handicap is 22.4 which i'm happy with. Only 4 more shots to get to my target of 18 for this year.

Well done Stuart. Looks like you had a great round with that score.

I'm up .1 after this weekends performance. I put mine down to a bit of "panic golf" at times during my round. Hopefully I'll get back on track and find my handicap getting cut like yours.
