The only downside/cheating that could be counted is the two club length and one club length drop rules. But and it's a big but, with driver shafts getting longer every year,it's no different in reflect that two club lengths with an 09/10/11 spec driver is no doubt 6-8 inches longer that previous years anyway.
To me their just another option, they could be better for older players who suffer with back issues when putting so could actually be a good thing.
