MR and Missis Tash have a daughter who is getting married in September so Missis Tash felt the house needed decorating.

New. Bathroom. job lot.

new carpets, furniture, decorating etc etc flippin etc.

even the fish have had some new plague plants.

now I said to missie tash, if were havin some new oak furniture, my pioneer multi cd, graphic equaliser, Dolby surround sound, record player is sitting on the top and being used. Ave just come home form happy afters and me lad is facebooking everyone about playing. Fleetwood Mac on vinyl. Oh the good old days have returned to the tash household.

vinyl is king. Happy times ahead in the Tash Household.

Yes something magical about vinyl. I've still got my Aiwa midi system with CD player, twin cassette tapes and good old reliable turntable. Was playing some Frankie Goes To Hollywood, good old 80's you can't beat the music. Definitely my favourite era.
 
Did it have that nice cracking noise and which Mac album ? Rumours ?
 
My lad was asking me a thousand and one questions re vinyl, gramophones (got one in dining room somewhere) 12" 7" etc etc. flippin Eck what's up with these young uns. Google it.

i know it's gone past. 1999 but there was something special about goin down town on an Saturday morning and buying yer next single or album if you could afford it, plus the obligatory badge. You don't get it today with your I player thingy.

chuffed to bits pioneer have a new turntable. Coz when me laggy band went on this last year I was in mourning til I found a shop in Liverpool that sold the,.

father in law wants a system where he can transfer his vinyl onto cd. WHY?
 
Even better were the old 12 inch picture discs. Personally with albums and being a bit of a prog rocker, the album covers are what use to do it for me. Loved the Mark Wilksinson stuff on Marillion (and his Fish work) and some of the Yes stuff was superb
 
Got a few picture discs and coloured vinyls from the police. Supposed to be worth a few bob but you would never sell them.

Recently bought Relayer and Close to the Edge on vinyl £4 each i think and good condition copies - tremendous. Now you nearly mentioned ELP maybe I'll go buy BSS as its sitting in the record shop just waiting for me
 
To be honest I think MP3, Spotify and Kindles are superb. You want a book or album and 10 seconds later you have it. I'll take that any day over some sense of nostalgia and supposedly better sound quality (that to be honest you probably can't tell unless you sit and listen to it intently on top end equipment whilst doing nothing else, and who has the time to do that nowadays?).

And home taping is killing music.

MP3, kindle and spotty backside what's that all about. Saturday evening and your baby's in full swing and yer mates are half hammered and you ask "does anyone like me spotty backside thingy" it's not happening for me. Vinyl now that's a talking point. Anyone want to see me 12" even the women are looking at you now.

home taping, now were talking. Sunday night yer one hour tape in, taping the top twenty and trying to mute out the clown talking in between the records. Happy days.
