before being allowed to post in the sales/wanted..... I understand why, but it seems excessive (more so at my posting rate!) especially as i'm interested in wanted/buying not selling...

You could always just do what most others have done and pad your post count by constantly replying to every thread with a "+1", or a "I agree". Try it, it becomes quite fun after a while....

Been that way for quite a while if I remember correctly.

I don't disagree re buying items but understand the need to weed out cheats. If you have to stick around and work for 100 posts then less chance of a scam.
