    SPOTY 2025

Absolute joke that Tadej Pogacar has (for the second year running) not been nominated in the Overseas category. Absolutely dominated cycling over the last 2 years.

    Professional Golf 2024 & 2025

Went along to the Senior Open at Sunningdale on Saturday. Most enjoyable time. Wrote a few words on reminiscing and sports nostalgia that might interest https://yahooovercowcorner.wordpress.com/2025/07/29/further-reminiscence/

TV Series - What Are You Watching?

We've just watched Magpie Murders and the Moonflower Murders. Really enjoyed the concept of the actual plots being linked into the respective books. Worked very well.

SPOTY 2024 - Annual Bun fight and Moan

Cyclist Tadej Pogacar not included as one of the world star nominees?! Only won the Tour de France the Giro and the World Champs; the first to achieve such a feat for nearly 40 years. He has utterly dominated cycling this year.

I played today and..(Rolling) -originally created by JohnnyDee

Played Cleeve Hill last week whilst on hols in the Cotswolds. Just about broke 100 but had a great time. Such a fabulous course which is really enjoyable to play. Very hard work in the wind though, and it seems to be almost permanently going up hill! Well worth it though and the views from the...

    When did you last play?

Played Boundary Lakes yesterday. Course in decent condition. They are currently changing the course so was good to play the 3 new holes on the current layout. The eighth is a cracker, lovely tee shot onto a plateau fairway and an approach downhill to a green with a stream in front of it. The...

    Consecutive Par 3's

Boundary Lakes (the course adjacent to the Ageas Bowl cricket ground) has the 10th and 11th as consecutive par 3's. Although its a temporary lay out at the moment and is likely to change.

    YouTubers.

Very much so. DHG has really dropped off of late. Not sure whether the absence of Bernie is a coincidence but recent times have also seen less of Paul, Chris G and Jordan (in front of the camera). I know what you are saying about filler for SS. I've noticed that Footy Adventures is kicking out...

    YouTubers.

For me it's not necessarily about he quality on offer but a) the personalities of the Youtubers and b) people willing to try things / cover things that are a bit different. So, I like DHG and when this was at its best it was about Dan and Bernie and their personalities along with people like...

I've got into Seb on Golf recently. His enthusiasm makes for good watching. And Golf Mates' recent Hidden Gems series in Ireland was superb.

US Open Qualifying, Walton Heath, May 16th

Planning on heading up myself, probably in the afternoon. When do they announce who's entered? I'm guessing there'll be some well known names.
