Computers not always used for every situation.... You rock up at a new course with your mates.. Quick glance at a board..i get 13 great let's go.....

Is it a requirement that every bit of a DZ (for GUR) is no closer to the hole than any part the GUR itself?

I'm yet to see a set of HCP rules for April. In particular I wish to read the bit that describes how pairs matchplay PH will be calculated ie PH=100% of CH (rounded) then subtract the lowest and then multiply by 0.9.....I need to see the exact wording, as I know different clubs we play against...

You don't play Stableford friendlies then? Everyone needs to know what PH they are on at various times.

This is one of my issues.... You didn't be getting different numbers of strokes just because it's not on the computer

Thanks. But how is this used by players in general? Our Saturday comps are on the computer (usually) but we don't have the facility to print cards for players. In my case, index 13.4, from 1st April i will get 10 strokes on the yellow tees. However, 95 percent will be nine not ten as it...

Like i said earlier, a complete mess. We have lots of situations (eg seniors rollups) where we don't use the computer at all. Players (well, some) can do the 95 percent thing but they now have to find out their unrounded CH? I can also imagine times when, even if the computer IS being used...

In summary, its a mess.

I am yet to read the exact line in GB&I literature that says about the change to the 90% application in 4BBB matchplay...I'm being thick I'm sure. That video from the USGA certainly mentions it, however.
