You should be allocated that when you get a handicap. At this point you may want to join “How Did I Do” if your club use it. If not then your handicap officials should let you know it.

The Dukes at St Andrews is currently £30 for Scottish Golf members. Royal Troon have a winter deal on, but the postage stamp is out of play. Not fitting in with the links theme, but 4 ball at Gleneagles is currently £225 until March at certain times of day.

This winter I’ll probably do a lot of practising and try and get a round a week in. Work Monday to Friday so any more is out of the question. I don’t mind being out in inclement weather and will just adjust my expectations for being on the course.

Aren’t there other members of your club on here? Has your club got a social media policy? Are you totally in line with that? Have you paid all of your fees? If, as you say, it’s got vindictive, they might well turn round and say that they just simply don’t want you as a member any more, and...

Because the club might very well decide he’s not worth the trouble and give him a further ban.

You are taking the club to court and are also hoping that your suspension will be lifted? Have you informed the club that this is the route you are taking? If so, then are you really expecting to be back there any time soon?
