    Anyone Bought Fake Gear?

My dad bought a Ping G10 driver from a Golf Club Pro in Glasgow. The driver had been out around 6 months at the time. The Pro had received it as a trade in. My dad had been on the hunt for a decent trade in pretty much since its launch. Anyway. My dad had it for around 2 weeks when during a...

    Belleisle / Seafield in Ayr

I played Belleisle at Easter time. My fiance is from Ayr and we go down to visit regularly. I have a similar membership in Edinburgh where I can play all the municipal courses. Its great cause you can get a tee time on a choice of 7 instead of just 1. Ayr is a nice place, by the sea side and...

    Provisionally lost or actually lost

I see your point, I was playing on Saturday. Was +7 after the first 9. On the 10th hole I hit a terrible drive off the left into the trees. I then played a provisional ball which I ripped straight down the middle and 240 yards. I guessed my first ball would be lost as the rough on the left is...

    St Andrews Trip

I would suggest a few things. Firstly if there is only 2 of you more than likely you will be be paired with another pair to play the old course and due to it being October be playing off fairway mats. If you are set on playing St andrews courses I would advise the New Course, Castle course or...

WTD: Cobra amp cell hybrid wrench

The amp cell wrench is the same as the amp pro and I think its the same as the original RBZ range. You can also use a regular star torque wrench. Only thing is it does not have the click. Alternatively go into AG or DG and see if they have any spare. Last AG I was in had a massive box out the...

Driver position - on the ground or off?

I used to address the ball with the club head on the ground. I would then hover the club head slightly while giving my wrists a little wiggle/flick. This would allow me to relax the wrists and not get so tense. Hovering the club allows you to relax a little or so I was told.

    We Apologize!

I don't mind the whipping up the crowd like at the RC last year. When Bubba and Polts were getting the crowd to cheer and make noise when teeing off. But I do agree all this shouting nonsense is pointless. I mean get in the Hole on a par 5, 500 plus yards. COME ON.

Cobra Amp Cell Driver vs Nike Covert

I will second that, I bought the original AMP driver. It was my first new purchase for a while. I was hitting it well but soon out grew the shaft and settings. Opted for the AMP cell around 2 months ago... and I have never looked back. Well only to see how far I drove the ball. Getting better...

R&A Blame The Weather for Poor Attendance

I to was put off by the £75 for the tickets. If I was going I would have taken the train. Cost for that was £22 and that would have only got me to Drem. Couple that with a programme, a few drinks and a snack I was easily at £140 plus. Other option. Stay at home watch on the TV, have a BBQ in...
