One more course for South Wales trip?

Apologies, P&K is en route for us back home. I had us heading North as the crow flies but of course we'd head East and much nearer to P&K. Had a look and it looks lovely but the course closed to members on the Saturday when we'll be travelling back.

One more course for South Wales trip?

Yes looking at the Dragon for this trip. I assume it does the job? Fancied somewhere actually on the coast for the scenic option which was why looking at Gower GC but then it's taxis to town of an evening. P&K looks lovely but different direction to where we're heading on the Saturday (back...

One more course for South Wales trip?

Thanks all so far. Porthcawl is somewhere I want to go but too expensive for this group for sure. Was ideally looking for something close to Swansea for final travel Saturday morning and not too expensive, hence the shortlist of Morriston, Neath and Pontardawe. Hoping to find an hidden gem...

Ryder Cup weekend trip to Ireland

Sounds brilliant. Enjoy! Where are you staying and what's it cost inlcuding the ferry? Looked at a similar trip for our society for this Summer but ended up a bit too expensive and a bit of a logistical nightmare with all the travelling.

    Edgbaston GC ?

Yep played it about 5 years back. Beauty of a course and you'll not believe you're so close the centre of Brum whilst on the course.

Scotland golf trip - need some straight answers!

Thanks to you all for your advice. It's appreciated for sure. Looking like East Lothian for sure and perhaps moving further North for the subsequent trips. Just need to narrow it down to the 5 courses and sort accommodation. Marine hotel looks too pricey. Will enquire about the Lodge at...

Dirtly Leeds? :) Wasn't born for that one, mine was about 20 years back for a pre-season friendly. Not sure to this day what possessed us to go up for that game, perhaps the 2 nights on the lash in Edinburgh had something to do with it.

Scotland golf trip - need some straight answers!

Over Ireland yes. I've done Ireland and was looking again for last year but with flights and then car hire the costs were taking it too high. Ireland I'll do again with a smaller party for sure at some point.
