I know what funkyfred means when he say some things work for some but not for others! I tried the 10 free downloads and almost completely messed up my game! Still it may well work for you Oddsocks!
I agree with HomerJSimpson! Been using a "Heavy Putter" which worked really well but found that I was also having problems on the fast greens at present. Tried the Odyssey number 9 and it has been a revelation - certainly helped in last Sundays Mixed Match with 5 single putts! (Unknown for me)
Two things helped me get rid of the Shermans when I got the disease.
1: Make sure your weight is on the balls of your feet not your toes otherwise you tend to throw the club out and that's when the neck of the club contacts the ball. (a good way to practice that is to put a ball under the toes...
I used to do that all the time till a friend told me that's where I was aiming! So I now always pick a spot a few feet in front of the ball that lines up with where I want to shoot, line up with that spot and nearly always get it right!
Hope that helps :D
For me, has to be The Big Easy. Just watching Ernie swing is as good as having a golf lesson! If only his putting could match up to his ball striking he would be virtually unbeatable! :p
What an amazing statement!! It certainly does work and it works incredibly well! Since I started using the G15 Utilities several of my friends have tried them and have been so impressed that they also bought some. Without exception everyone likes the look of the clubs.
Personal taste I know -...
Has to be my Heavy Putter B3-M. I've never been a good putter by any stretch of the imagination, but now with this magic wand I class myself as a very good putter. It has completely eliminated any wrist hinging and so alows a beautiful pendulum action. I am hardly ever short of the hole any more...
Have to say that our course (Norwood Park) is looking excellent. Played last Sunday for the first time since all the snow and absolutely no complaints. Despite very heavy overnight rain the ground was firm with very few "wet" areas. We are very lucky here never to have to play on tempories due...
I like to use the club as a social meeting place as much as possible. My wife also plays and has an excellent social life with all the lady members.
If I'm paying a lot of money for the subs, it makes sense to get as much fun out of the club as possible! :D
I think the best advice was from someone earlier who said take them back to the fitter. Let him watch you to see if indeed you have altered your swing. I would have thought that you are bound to alter the swing in some way with different lies and lengths.
If this is as good as it sounds I think I'll try one too as I've always suffered with lower back problems and regularly have to use the Mackenzie Technique exercises which always help but don't cure! :D
For me, can't beat my Ping G10 12° with standard Ping shaft. Used to use Cleveland Hi-Bore XLS 10.5° but this was always a very high flight and I seemed to lose a lot of distance. As soon as I tried the Ping it gelled straight away. Much lower trajectory and noticeably better distance. :D
