Had a lesson on Tuesday and spent time on the practise areas yesterday bedding in the changes. Worked great then and I was really looking forward to an opportunity to take in on the course today... the inevitable happened and I could barely put two shots together for 4 holes. Much better after...

For me it was my chipping (surprisingly good) and my mental game... I was able to play within myself for 90% of my shots meaning I was only unhappy with 10% of my game. I hope I have that control going forward - I think going out there and 100% not caring what happened must have been behind it...

Yep... played a Links course for wales and it just wouldn't have been fun without it. You are stood in the tee and can see absolutely nothing but a hill in 30 yards - without that book it wouldn't have been a good day out I think.

I feel you mate... got cut to my lowest a few weeks ago shooting high single figures and played 3 comps in a row to 27 or 28 over... soul destroying doesn't cover it. I am convinced its mental too... and the only way I got through it was going out for a knock with mates and not worrying about...

Think they are both fairly new. The Plus was released during lockdown and after selling the initial stock had lengthy delays within weeks. I cancelled my order after originally having a 24 hour delivery timeframe stretching to 6-8 weeks. I would be surprised if a new model for this gets released...

When I am forcing myself to stay in the moment/shot/hole I do forget what I have just done and keep trying to make pars... it can mean I don’t know what my score is even though I could quickly recall the holes and work it out... either way - asking if he knows or even wants to know his score...
