Talking to a Pro today & another very low H/C player my complaint seems to be a common one.
Also some of your replies on here seem to back up what I'm saying.
I'm surprised tbh that this issue hasn't been highlighted a bit more.
It's definitely put me off this type of head design in the future...
Hi all.
I haven't been on here for a while & I've missed the banter a bit, so i'm back.
Anyway here is the issue.
After moving from game improvement Ping G20 irons to Ping i500 irons, I was initially very impressed with the lovely flight & accuracy I was getting, but the honeymoon has not...
I am not bothered about playing at the moment due to the weather, but I know by the beginning of March I will be gagging to get out there.
I also think that as the cases & hospitalisations drop & once they have vaccinated the top 4 groups, the pressure to lift the lock-down will become immense...
I wasn't thinking of some sort of organised national 2 month break, as others have said, different courses vary.
But, undoubtedly some (mainly parkland courses) do suffer unnecessary damage in traditionally the 2x worst months of the year & I personally think that these worst affected courses...
I must confess that I am not too bothered about the latest lockdown.
Most parkland courses inc mine are a bog this time of year & we are on temps due to frost.
Our temps must be the worst in the country so I am not bothered about playing anyway.
I think most parkland courses would probably...
I haven't played since before Christmas.
It started raining day after day & became a bog.
So it's carry only.
Now we have a nightly frost, so it's rock hard in places & a bog in others + the country's worst temporary greens & yet I look on today's booking sheet & it's rammed with four balls...
It's the same argument that was had during the lockdowns.
Banning golf or tennis for that matter makes zero sense as there is little or no chance of passing on an infection whilst playing.
I can only assume it is done because the ones making the decisions are stupid / It's seen as elitist & the...
Most courses in the area are closed due to the rain.
I stopped playing 1 week ago when we went to carry only.
I'm not too fussed atm, the course is a bog, it's cold, wet & not enjoyable.
I fully expect another national lockdown in Jan, so I am not expecting to play much golf between now & April.
Missed the fairway left.
Blocked myself out.
Duffed my chip out.
Chipped out again
Missed the green with the 4th
Knifed my shot back through the green.
2x puts for a blob.
The rest of the round was ok
2x blobs & 33 points.
Great to be back.
Initially we were restricted to 2x 18 holes per week.
They scrapped that yesterday as the booking system didn't get massively overloaded.
We can now play as many times as we like.
I am glad that my 1st game back today will be in dry conditions & no Frost, so on full greens.
Happy days.
I would be very surprised this time of year if taking that approach would be cost effective.
They would have to unfurlough the staff & pay them as normal.
Realistically how many people will have a substantial meal after golf?
