You need to provide more detail on the playing conditions on your local course before you can really expect anyone to answer. For instance, what percentage of your bush retrieves will be beyond 6ft, 9ft and 12ft. What is your estimation of the ratio of prickle fielding shrubbery to non-? And...
I like this - have already done the "lite" version, but I tend to agree that its me that's got to be comfortable with the thing and "feel" is everything on and around the green. When my technique is better, I can think about refining it further.
That's the aim! :one:
I recently had my irons and woods custom fit. Yes, I know...but it has made a difference and it wasn't just psychological.
I'm now wondering about getting my putter properly custom fit. When I had my irons done, the fitter did check the length for me and reduced it to just short of 34" (I'd...
So, the first question is why do you want to join?
I'm in a similar position myself. My scores hover around the 100-105 mark, largely because I'll play/practice determinedly for 3 mths then get waylaid with work or family for the next 6 or more months! To me, membership doesn't make sense...
Yes, already thinking about getting a putting lesson, and also whether my putter is optimal - when I started out, I was advised to get a face balanced putter but from using iPing, I have a consistent slight arc stroke - so not the best combination.
South Winchester is a decent track. Not...
Managed to get out on the course today after a 6 month break. Having not lifted a club since August, I've been fitting in a little range time since Christmas but haven't had enough time to do anything else. Equally, free time and daylight have not coincided to enable me to practice my short...
Stock shafts fitted to drivers generally cost in the region of $10, I am reliably informed by a well known fitter.
So, the actual amount that you could see deducted is (logically) around the £15 mark. That's without factoring the cost of the adaptor - and there's a risk you will be an...
Fair enough, but I wasn't feeling much loved by that point so didn't like the idea of buying something just for the sake of it. I agree it's easy to open virtually all tills if you need to (at least basic tills, like theirs) - so it was clearly a bit sneaky.
Just wanted to have a quick gripe about this place and solicit opinion in case I've made a rash assessment of the place.
Spotted it online and checked opening times/prices etc. Thought it looked a likely spot to hit some balls on the way home so called in there last night, around 7pm...
Thanks - I drive up the M3 each day, so it's a possibility if I come in past Staines. Was thinking of something on the doorstep though so that I would know what the traffic was doing and could guarantee to be into the office at a certain time.
I've played West Middlesex. Once, about 2 years...
Anyone a member?
Just round the corner from my work, so thinking about scoping it out. Could do with somewhere nearby for early morning/evening practice that fits around work.
Any non-members played the course? Any good?
I'm afraid not, I live at the other end of the M3 - near Winchester. I'm looking for something which is no more than 10 minutes off the M3 really - it needs to be a quick hop on the way to or from work, not a trip for its own sake.
As a new regular commuter up and down the M3 (pretty much from one end of it to the other), I'm trying to find the best place for regular practice. For me, it has to be somewhere that I can use in the dark (after or before work in the winter months at least) and not too much of a jaunt away...
Absolutely right. As to whether they have to include the headcover/wrench because the original ad had it shown, no, they don't. They're making a counter-offer (you want the whole lot for £99, we don't want to sell it like that anymore, but what about the driver for £99 and £10 for the...
